Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born on the 9th of January, 1982. Her birthplace was Reading, England. Although Kate was to eventually be a member the Royal Family, she was brought up in a family of upper middle class along with her two siblings. Kate's mother started a successful company called Party Pieces. At the time of the 2011 census, the business had a valuation of $45 million and sold products for parties. She does, however, have strong ties with her father and the royal family. From 1926 onward it was known that the Middleton family had already been in contact extensively with royalty. Many generations of the Middleton family have also profited from trust funds that were established over a century ago. At the age of Kate Middleton was 2 years old, her family relocated to Jordan which was where her father was employed by British Airways. Kate Middleton enrolled in St. Andrew's School upon returning to England aged 4. After graduating from Downe House School, Middleton continued her education at Marlborough College and Marlborough College. She then went on to pursue her studies at the University of St. Andrews.
