Despacito, a song by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi together with Daddy Yankee was released in 2017. It was the top streamed song at the time within six month. The combination of reggaeton and pop music has not only brought attention back to this genre but also to Latin music in general. In 2015 there were only two mostly songs with Spanish lyrics on the Billboard Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. At the height of Despacito's popularity the track was one of 19 that mainly Spanish were included in the Billboard Top 100. By 2020 there will be 41 hits within this genre. In the wake of Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in the year 2017 popular artists began to collaborate with reggaeton performers. Drake and Bad Bunny collaborated for the track MIA MIA (2018) and Madonna joined forces with Maluma for Medellin in the year 2019. The mainstreaming of reggaeton was an issue for certain performers by the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a young generation, however, were keen to keep the look. It was often associated with electronic dance, as well as other styles.
